Group 3 represented by Niall Ferns & John Duff, Group 5 represented by Hugh Evans and Brian Short, Group 7 by James Norse & Dave Johnston, Group 8 by William and Victor Bennett and Group 11 with Frank and Bill Fenelon played off in Round Robin style.
After a long night, Niall Ferns & John Duff prevailed and are the second pair to qualify for next Friday's final.
