There were some exciting quarter final clashes on Friday night.
At Sunrise Pat O'Sullivan&Dave Dunne defeated Ian Stevens&Peter Evans in a tense deciding frame to advance to Monday's semi final with a score of 2-1
At Leabeg Mark Stringer substituted for Colm Slevin as he and Colin StJohn faced Brendan Power&Rod O'Shea. An excellent final long pot on the pink by Mark won the frame by 45 to 43. In the next it was Mark and Colin who prevailed by 58 to 29. Mark and Colin progress to Tuesday's semi-final.
At Ballyloughlin Tony Walshe&Craig Newsome saw off Angus Woods&Andrew Flood by 2-1. The feature of the match was Tony's fine clearance of the colours to win the decider. Tony and Craig will play in Monday's semi-final.
At Beechbrook Eamon Murphy&Andrew Johnston saw off Jack leeson&Graham Noonan by 2-0 with scores of 23 to 14 and 23 to 15. Eamon and Andrew will play in Tuesday's semi final.
